More Than Just Riding – A Complete Equestrian Experience in the West Midlands

Learning to ride is a key part of what we do, but it’s just the beginning. At Bourne Vale, we believe that understanding and caring for horses is just as important as riding them. From grooming and feeding to understanding horse behaviour, you’ll gain hands-on experience that helps you connect with the animals in a deeper, more meaningful way.

We cater to riders aged 7 years and older, offering indoor and outdoor facilities where you can safely learn year-round. Our experienced instructors work closely with you, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced rider looking to refine your technique. We serve riders from across Birmingham, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield and the West Midlands.

What We Offer

Horse Riding Lessons for Adults and Children

We provide tailored lessons in both private and group settings. You’ll learn on a range of horses, helping you become a confident and capable rider. Adult lessons start from £44 per session, and children’s lessons start from £36 per session.

Pony Club

We have been a Pony Club Centre for over 25 years. With more than 1,250 young riders having passed through our gates, we offer not just riding lessons, but a full education in horse care and stable management – all while having fun and making friends.

Holiday Activities

We run exciting holiday programmes where children can spend time outdoors, learn new skills, and connect with the horses. It’s the perfect opportunity to disconnect from their phone, engage in physical activity, build meaningful friendships and learn long-term life skills.

Equestrian Clinics & Training

For those looking to deepen their riding abilities and expand their equestrian knowledge, we offer clinics in dressage, show jumping, and stable management. We also provide British Horse Society (BHS) training, helping riders progress through their BHS stages.

A Legacy of Excellence

In 2024, we were honoured to receive a commemorative plaque from HRH The Princess Royal, marking our 25 years as a Pony Club Centre. During this time, we’ve proudly supported hundreds of young riders, helping them improve their riding skills, build confidence, and develop lasting friendships. Watching our riders grow both in and out of the saddle has been a privilege, and it continues to inspire everything we do at Bourne Vale Stables.

As a BHS (British Horse Society) and ABRS (Association of British Riding Schools) approved riding school, and a proud Pony Club Centre, we adhere to the highest standards of equestrian education. We are also licensed by Walsall Council (Licence Number, 202221406), where we’ve been awarded the highest possible rating of 5 stars under the Defra Animal Welfare Regulations 2018, a testament to the care we provide for our horses and riders.
